The Seves Design Line: Glass Block Built for Creativity

Glass block is no longer just a utility material. The Seves Design Line proves it. This collection gives architects and designers four ways to bring light, color, and continuity into a space.

The Design Line includes four product lines: Pegasus, Pegasus Metalized, the New Color Collection, and Mendini. Each one solves a different design problem. Together, they open the door to glass block walls that read as a single surface of light.

Designed With Leading Voices in Architecture

Seves built the Design Line with input from leading figures in contemporary architecture and design. These professionals shared one goal. They wanted a new kind of glass block.

Four principles guided the work: creativity, style, functionality, and innovation. The result is a family of blocks that performs like glass block always has. It also looks like nothing else on the market.

Pegasus: The Winged Glass Block

Pegasus starts with the standard glass block module. Seves then applies new manufacturing technology to reshape it. The result is a “winged” block design.

Those wings change how a wall looks. Pegasus reduces the mortar joint to just 2mm. That narrow sight line keeps the eye on the glass, not the grout. A Pegasus wall reads as one continuous plane of glass.

For architects, this matters. Wide joints break up a facade or partition into a grid. Pegasus removes that grid and lets light take the lead.

Pegasus comes in Clear, Blue, Nordica, and Siena. All four come in both the Wave and Smooth patterns. The colors are full body colors. The color runs through the glass all the way to the edge of the block.

Pegasus Metalized: A Brilliant, Reflective Edge

Pegasus Metalized takes the Pegasus design one step further. It is an exclusive product from Seves Glass Block Inc.

Each block has a metalized finish on its outer edge. This coating creates a mirror effect. It reduces the look of gaps between blocks. It also makes the glass surface more brilliant and more intriguing.

Pair that edge with the narrow Pegasus joint. The wall becomes a seamless field of light and reflection.

Pegasus Metalized also comes in Clear, Blue, Nordica, and Siena. Blue, Nordica, and Siena come in the Wave pattern. Clear comes in the Smooth pattern. Like standard Pegasus, these are full body colors.

Full Body Color vs. Injected Color

The Design Line adds color in two different ways. Knowing the difference is key to a clean design.

Full body color runs through the entire block. The color reaches every edge. Pegasus and Pegasus Metalized use full body color.

Injected color coats only the inside of the hollow block. A clear ring remains around the edge where there is no color. The New Color Collection and Mendini use injected color.

Keep these two types separate. Do not mix full body blocks and injected blocks in the same wall. Side by side, the clear ring on an injected block stands out against the solid edge of a full body block. The wall looks uneven. New Color Cobalto and Pegasus Metalized Blue show this well. Both are blue. Placed next to each other, they look very different.

New Color Collection: 16 Injected Colors in Wave

The New Color Collection brings injected color to the Wave pattern. It offers 16 colors. The color coats the inside of each block. A mirror-like metalized edge coating reflects the color back into the block. The effect is a rich, jewel-toned look.

Injected colors are for interior use only. They work well for partitions, feature walls, and accent installations.

Use one color for a bold statement. Mix several New Color Collection shades to create a pattern or gradient. Just keep them separate from the full body Pegasus colors.

Mendini Collection: The Same 16 Colors in Smooth

The Mendini Collection offers the same 16 injected colors as the New Color Collection. The difference is the pattern. Mendini comes in Smooth blocks. Seves manufactures them in a metric size.

The color coats the inside of the hollow block. A clear outline remains around the edges. Each block also carries a reflective metalized finish on its perimeter.

That metalized edge does more than frame the color. It catches light and sends it dancing across the room. Mendini is a simple way to introduce color into any room. Like the New Color Collection, keep it separate from full body colors.

Which Design Line Product Fits Your Project?

Each product line answers a different design goal. Use this quick guide to match the block to the project.

Product line Color type Colors Pattern Best for
Pegasus Full body Clear, Blue, Nordica, Siena Wave and Smooth Continuous glass walls with minimal sight lines
Pegasus Metalized Full body Clear, Blue, Nordica, Siena Wave for colors, Smooth for Clear Brilliant, near-seamless glass surfaces
New Color Collection Injected 16 colors Wave Jewel-toned interior walls and patterns
Mendini Collection Injected Same 16 as New Color Collection Smooth Color accents in a metric size

Do not mix full body and injected color in the same wall.

Bring the Design Line to Your Next Project

The Seves Design Line gives architects, designers, and developers a new set of tools. Specify Pegasus for clean, continuous glass. Choose Pegasus Metalized for added brilliance. Add injected color with the New Color Collection or Mendini. Just keep full body and injected blocks in separate installations.
